The Desktop Prestitial is displayed prior to the content of the page loading and for 5 seconds is the only item to display to the user. Due to this functionality, it is capped to display once per day per user.
Based on recommendations by the 'Better Ads Standards', Momentum Media has changed the function of this ad unit from a regular popup to be more of a 'prestitial' ad unit, appearing before the content of the page appears.
The Desktop Prestitial has undergone quite a number of changes this year, so these results are based on the reports since the last changes were made to the ad unit. It still remains one of our most highly engaged ad units.
